WHEN
Every Monday evening, excluding Public Holidays and a 4-6 week break over the Christmas period starting the 2nd Monday in December. Training recommencing in January.
We only take New members on the 1st, 3rd, and if applicable,
the 5th Monday of each Month. WE DO NOT TRAIN OR TAKE NEW MEMBERSHIPS
ON PUBLIC HOLIDAYS.
TIME
Kiosk
opens at 7.00 pm for new members & payment of ground fees.
Training starts at 7.30 pm and finishes at 8.30 pm
YOUR
DOG
All
dogs must be Fully Vaccinated.
A Current Vaccination certificates must be shown when submitting your
signed Application for Membership and also when renewing your Membership
each June. When mailing Applications or Renewals a photocopy of the vaccination
certificate is acceptable.
Vaccination
requirements are - Parvo-virus, Hepatitis, Distemper & Kennel Cough
TRAINING
METHODS
Macarthur Dog Training Club, Inc uses motivational training only, ie.
we use reward and praise for correct behaviour and not rewarding incorrrect
behaviour. We teach submission as the only form of dominant behaviour
the handler shows his/her dog.
Solid leather or webbing collars are acceptable
as are halties. The use of check chains is not encouraged.
Food
rewards can be any type of sausage, meat or kibble cut or broken up into
small portions.

range of equipment may be purchased on the grounds at near to cost prices.
MEMBERSHIP
DEFINITIONS top
FINANCIAL
YEAR ****
Macarthur
Dog Training Club's Financial Year commences on the 1st day of July
in each year, and terminates on the 30th day of June in the following
year.
When paying Membership for any given Financial Year, a Full Years Membership ($) applies
from the 1st of July to 31st of December, a Half Years Membership ($)
applies from 1st of January to the 3rd Monday in May.
It
should be noted that if you joined Macarthur Dog Training Club
before the 3rd Monday in May, a Membership Renewal fee of $30.00 for a Family
Membership, or $35.00 for a Dual Membership, will be required before
1st of July the same financial year.

GROUND
FEES
Adults
(16 years & over) = $4.00 per Handler
Juniors
(from 12 to 15 years) = $2.00 per Handler
FAMILY
MEMBERSHIP
Any
family member resident at the same address who is over the age of twelve
(12) years. When voting on Club matters, a Family Membership entitles
the members to one (1) vote as a Family unit.
DUAL
MEMBERSHIP
One
of any two members of the one family resident at the same address,
or one of any two persons who are partners in the conduct of a kennel
having a kennel prefix in their joint names registered with the
Control who has been admitted with the other of such persons as a
Dual Member of the Club. When voting on Club matters, a Dual
Membership entitles the members to two (2) votes as individuals.
JUNIOR
MEMBER
A
person over the age of twelve (12) years and under the age of
sixteen (16) years who has been admitted as a member of the club.
Junior members are not entitled to vote on Club matters or hold any
Club Offices. These members will become eligible to vote and hold
Club Offices 3 months after their 16th birthday, where upon formal
notice should be given to the Club that said member is no longer a
Junior member.
Any
member may train any number of dogs on any of the above Memberships
providing that said dogs have been vaccinated and proof of
vaccination has been submitted to the Club. New dogs may be added to
a membership at any time under the same conditions as previously stated.
To
save any upset at a later date, if you do not understand any of the
above information and would like to discuss it further, please do not
hesitate to ask the Secretary before signing this application.
